Ok, I’m positively giddy over this idea – a database-driven web app for worldbuilding, character creation, beats, you name it, this thing will do it.
Like Scrivener, this is writers working with developers to create the app that they most want to use, and it’s pure brilliance! Put together by Sean Platt, Johnny B Truant, and Dave Wright (of Sterling & Stone fame) with developer Seth Atwood, StoryShop is exactly what so many writers (myself included) need.
It’s currently in Kickstarter and they’re about half funded with 25 days to go.
They can explain it far better than I can, so here’s the Self-Publishing Podcast episode that goes into detail about what it will do in its first version AND what they have planned for later ones. Want it, want it, want it…
The day I get paid, I’m doing my share to fund StoryShop – check it out and see if you’d like to help, too!
OMG – coolest idea since Scrivener, and a perfect mate to it!
